What is the Math Olympiad? Why choose it?

數學奧林匹克

The Mathematical Olympiad, referred to as the Mathematical Olympiad, is a world-class mathematical competition with a long history. For decades, outstanding brains from various countries have competed with each other here. Students need to use their reasoning ability, analytical ability and logical thinking to solve mathematical problems beyond the regular courses.

Compared with the school's teaching atmosphere of memorizing knowledge and only seeking "knowledge and doing", Mathematical Olympiad focuses on the essence of mathematical principles and thinking training, stimulating students' desire for knowledge and perseverance on the road of exploration.

why choose?

What will your students learn?

Interesting math knowledge outside the regular curriculum

Mathematical Olympiad aims to inspire students' interest in mathematics, not just practice. Compared with regular courses, Mathematical Olympiad topics are more life-like.Students will discover the mysteries of mathematics and marvel at the beauty of logic and rationality.

Different from ordinary people logical thinking ability

Mathematical Olympiad does not teach esoteric mathematical knowledge, but hopes that students will use alternative thinking to see through the essence of the question based on the existing mathematical knowledge, and then answer it. Mathematical Olympiad also puts more emphasis on the proof of the theory, getting to the bottom of it, and making students understand the reasoning process.

More efficient problem-solving skills

Mathematical Olympiad focuses on skills rather than memory. With top-notch logical thinking, students can easily find a faster and simpler path when faced with a problem, and move towards the final answer calmly.

Life teaching

We bring daily life into Olympiad teaching, so that students will not feel strange and afraid, and it is easier to understand abstract theories.

2

Coordinate with regular math courses

Mathematical Olympiad and regular courses both belong to the category of mathematics. We don't want students to have a sense of separation when learning the two, but to be able to skillfully use the two in each other's categories, and it also makes it easier for students to learn from familiar fields.

3

Not blunt practice, inspire interest

We get rid of the stereotype that "Olympic Mathematical Olympiad is just a practice", and aim to inspire students' interest in mathematics, and gradually explore it driven by curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
